dc.description.abstract | The primary aim of this investigation is to explore the interplay among Workplace Ostracism, Workplace Incivility, and Turnover Intention, taking into account the mediating influence of Knowledge Hiding behavior, which encompasses Evasive Hiding, Playing Dumb, and Rationalized Hiding. Data for the study were gathered through structured questionnaires distributed to a sample of 215 employees in small to medium-sized enterprises located in Viet Nam. Employing structural equation modeling as the analytical approach, the study underscores noteworthy findings, demonstrating a positive influence of both Workplace Ostracism and Workplace Incivility on employees' intention to leave the organization. Notably, Knowledge Hiding behavior emerges as a significant mediator in the association between Workplace Ostracism, Workplace Incivility, and employees' Turnover Intention. The research emphasizes the necessity of scrutinizing individual personality dispositions to comprehend the intricate relationships among variables like Workplace Ostracism, Workplace Incivility, and Knowledge Hiding behavior. Mitigating unsuitable employee conduct is advocated through initiatives such as realistic job previews and the establishment of exemplary conduct. This research makes a substantial contribution to the existing literature on Knowledge Hiding behavior, offering valuable insights into the organizational and individual factors influencing such behavior. Remarkably, this study represents a pioneering effort in examining the predictive influence of the specified variables. | en_US |
