This study investigates and measures factors that are believed to have an impact on the motivation of students in Ho Chi Minh City in choosing a career. The study analyzes the career choices of students who are currently enrolled or have recently graduated, with a particular focus on students who have experienced the educational process in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic. The research aims to identify factors that affect the motivation of students in Ho Chi Minh City in their career choices, using 350 survey samples that are considered representative of the total student population in the city. The data was analyzed through various steps: descriptive statistics, reliability testing of measurement scales, exploratory factor analysis, Pearson correlation analysis, hypothesis testing, multiple regression analysis, and average difference testing. The descriptive statistical method shows that the sample can be considered representative of the total student population in Ho Chi Minh City. Through reliability testing of measurement scales, one observation variable was removed, and the remaining variables were found to be reliable. The results identified 6 factors that have a positive impact on the motivation for career choice in descending order: Job characteristics, human factors, psychology, work environment, money, and society. The research team has proposed various management solutions to increase the motivation for job selection among students, and help them make better quality job choices in Ho Chi Minh City. These solutions aim to address the factors that have an impact on students' job selection, such as their psychology, and the impact of COVID-19.en_US
