dc.description.abstract | Electric vehicles (EVs) have long since established themselves as a common trend of transportation, and Vietnam has recently started to catch up with this worldwide trend. This phenomenon results from people’s growing awareness of serious environmental degradation and increasing fuel prices in recent decades. Since then, a trend of transportation towards sustainability has emerged, which encourages many EVs manufacturers to participate in the market with an effort to satisfy public demand. Therefore, we conducted the research with the aim of investigating the connection between the social and economical factors to the EVs use behavior in Vietnam. The research applied the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology 2 (UTAUT2) and the real situation in Vietnam to create the conceptual research model in analyzing the Vietnamese intention to use EVs. To collect data, we conducted semistructured interviews with 3 people and an online questionnaire-based survey with 347 valid samples. Regarding interview results, we found that most people are willing to experience and even buy EVs in the future. Moreover, the result through Smart PLS analysis shows that Charging Infrastructure, Emotion, Habit, Environmental Concern and Government Policies are influencing the Behavioral Intention to use EVs. The study provides limitations and suggestions to EVs manufacturers and the government based on our analysis results and discussion. | en_US |
