dc.description.abstract | Reason for choosing the topic: In Vietnam, over the past decade, emotional intelligence has also attracted the attention of researchers in psychology and education. However, most of the studies in Vietnam on this issue often focus on office and business objects, and very few studies are interested in educational objects. The authors conducted the study with the aim of determining the relationship between the components of emotional intelligence to the team performance; at the same time, testing the mediating role of team trust and team cohesion on the relationship between emotional intelligence and team performance of economics students in HCMC. Research objectives: The study aims to measure, explore, test and evaluate the direct and indirect impact of emotional intelligence on team performance of economics students in HCMC (intermediaries: team cohesion, team trust). Research methods: Preliminary research (inheriting the scale of previous studies, combining interviews with 10 qualified people and regular teamwork) and quantitative research (through the support of SPSS 20 software and SmartPLS 3.3.3) are the two methods used in this article. Survey subjects: 249 valid responses from online interviews with economics students in Ho Chi Minh City. Research results: Research results show that team emotional intelligence has a direct impact on team performance. In addition, team trust and team cohesion also mediate the relationship between team emotional intelligence and team performance. Conclusions and implications: Educational administrators as well as schools need to pay attention to students' emotional intelligence capacity and its role in learning groups. From there, making appropriate decisions in the process of assessment and training to develop this capacity in each student, contributing to the overall performance and success of the study group. | en_US |
