Abstract: | Along with the development of technology and mobile devices, blended learning - a style of education in which students learn via electronic and online media and traditional faceto-face teaching - has become popular, especially at universities. In English study, teaching and learning materials are not only paper books, but also online learning resources. MyEnglishLab (MEL), used with Business Partner coursebooks, was created by Pearson publisher. It is an online workbook and learning resources applying the blended learning method. This research aims to investigate students’ readiness towards blended learning and elicit their reviews about MEL usage. The participants are 92 firstand second-year students majoring in economics at UEH University in Ho Chi Minh City. The study used an online survey to collect quantitative and qualitative data and applied a descriptive analysis methodology. The results showed that students were ready to take blended courses. Besides, learners expressed high satisfaction with the user-friendliness and contents of MEL. However, no single learning aid is perfect. Students also mentioned some technical problems they encountered while using MEL and suggested ways to improve its contents and designs. |
