dc.description.abstract | This article delivers current basic understanding on the concept and issues of green entrepreneurship in Vietnam and its association with related background concepts such as social entrepreneurship, social responsibility, and sustainable development. The results of analysis show that the development and implementation of this concept/idea serves the urgent needs of people living in world’s megacities. Green entrepreneurship’s specific mission is to promote sustainable development of both the local community and environment. Using conceptual analysis and investigating small firms operating in green sectors of the two largest cities in Vietnam, this article revealed the importance of green entrepreneurship in megacities and the way to popularize it for the purpose of offering a better quality of urban life. Finally, the article proposed several recommendations and solutions to enhance green entrepreneurship to support sustainable development and to promote the role it can interplay with other forms of entrepreneurship in Vietnam. | en |
